Fish in different way: grilled, roasted, soup (or the “boillabasse”).
Salami and hight-quality cold pork meats, thanks to the fact that the animals grow up free.
Cheese: vaccine and caprine.
Chestnut flour, handmade, it’s the base of several dishes.
Olive oil (from olive of Balagne).
Very hight quality honey, thanks to the several kinds of flowers.
Wine
Grapewine has been imported here 2500 years ago. Corsica wine has ever been so appreciated since that moment; there are 30 different ranges of Corsica vineyards (8000 hectares). We can mention Sciacarellu, Niellucciu, Vermentino.
The isle owns 10 AOC (Controlled Appellation of Origin) wines. Another famous product of Corsica grapewines is Acquavite.
