SARDINIA, THE ESMERALDA COAST

It is one of the best summer destinations, the most visited and fashionable places in our country. It has numerous islands and little bays, it is particularly known for sailing and for the people who spend every evening with a different sunset.

The Esmeralda Coast is geographically extended from Capo Testa to the Tavolara Island. The harbours equipped in this zone are very numerous and well inserted in the landscape.

They have recently increased in number because of the hight flow of sailors, especially in the summer period.

Archipelago of the Maddalena

Spread in the most seductive sea in the world are the islands of the Maddalena archipelago, flourishing with Mediterranean vegetation and rare essences. Beaches, cays, gorges are made of white sand or of pink coloured granites, modelled and dug by the violent and purificatory wind, a sea where the dolphins and the big fishes swim.

The Archipelago of the Maddalena is universally recognized as a territory of rare beauty and particular nature, historical and cultural value. Three wonderful islands Budelli, Santa Maria, Razzoli, are placed at the extreme North of the archipelago. Here is the Budelli pink beach, a kind of natural swimming pool beetwen the three islands, in the turquoise waters and the rich depth of Posidonie.

Of particular value are the bays of Trana at the North of Budelli, Long Cay to the west of Razzoli, Muro Cay to the Norths of Santa Maria. Everyone with a common denominator of the turquoise water, the white sand, the rose granites, the plentiful fish and the lobsters, the wind of the Bonifacio Straits always strong, but protected, in other words a heaven for sailors.
